I thought I would update what I have finished in the last couple of days.. I finally finished the LARGE order of dishclothes.. my last design was what I called KrisKross dishclothes.. they basically use the xtitch design that I made up (not the stitch but the dishcloth).. wanted something with texture for great cleaning and think this will work..

Cant believe it has been 2 weeks..

Just got so busy with life.. orders... gardening.. etc.. I havent been this long in a long time. anyways.. hope your 4th of July was nice.. not too nice here since I spent most of it in the emergency room with my boyfriend.. long story.. he is ok.. but has a broken finger..

I also have been busy with finishing this huge dishcloth order.. I will have pictures hopefully tomorrow of the last design of my dishclothes.. then off to the next order.. lol.. of more dishclothes.. Hope to take a break then and get some towels done.. maybe some kid stuff too.. we will see..
Anyways.. here are some pictures of my garden! First my cucumbers. they are enjoying the rainfall we have been getting.. I already have some small ones on the vines.

Dishcloth Update

Well.. sorry I havent been here.. doing alot right now.. with crochet, gardening, and just all the chaos that seems to hit this house.. I have finished some of the dishcloth order.. just finished more of the shells.. this time 5 of white with navy edging.. You can see the link to the pattern on the previous entry.. 

The sad part about it is.. I had ordered online Dark Country Blue since Simply Soft didnt come in Navy.. come to find out that Hobby Lobby had a comparable yarn in Navy.. sigh.. so I may need to remake the first bunch.. just gonna go on forward from now..

I started the next design for here.. this one is a basketweave pattern also in dark country blue and white. This one was a practice one.. a bit smaller than I wanted for the order.. so I will put this one up for sale.. $1.75.. if anyone wants it.. going on Etsy in a day or so.. I also got an order for another type of dishcloth and scrubbie on Etsy.. so my next entry will be pictures of that.. Already half finished with the dishcloth.. so should finish them both in a day or so..

Crochet and Gardening Update

First the gardening.. well.. I got my seeds planted.. except for the zucchini seeds which just arrived yesterday.. plan on doing those tomorrow... so far I have one yellow squash up.. nothing else.. next week I hope to go and get my tomatoes and any other plant that hasnt came up by then.. not rushing cos it is still below 55 degrees at night.. not weather for most of these plants.. I hope to have some pictures then too..

Now my crocheting.. I have been working on hanging towels for sale ( no pics yet) and these dishclothes.. these are the first of the 50.. I plan on making 10 of these.. 5 in navy with white and 5 in white with navy.. then switch to a different design.. I love this lacy shell.. very pretty... and not hard to do.. you can see I havent finished off the loose threads yet.. figure I will do them all at once..

Projects Completed!!

Happy to say I am on a roll with my crochet orders.. I finished the adult cupcake slippers (see previous blog entry for pictures).  This will be going up for sale first on my yahoo group.. then Facebook.. I cant take orders for this now.. but if you are willing to wait.. I can put you on the list. I got a ton of orders to fill.. Tomorrow I will update you on what I am doing now..

I also finished off an order for dishclothes from Etsy.. Pictures are below.. people really like these.. I have gotten orders for these before.. and they must like them. cos they come back for more.. smile..

These are made of Simply Soft yarn.. which has the texture of cotton.. but none of the bad parts of it.. these dry fast, don't shrink or fade and last just as long as the cotton ones.. best part they cost less.. These make a nice gift to give someone along with hanging towels and/or my scrubbies.

Sunday Update!

Much cooler today.. with rain.. seems everyone else in this area is getting a bad storm.. but not us on the west side of Buffalo.. I am just enjoying the much cooler weather.  It was so hot yesterday I just had NO energy.. and felt lousy.. we just are not used to 94 or 95 degrees here in Buffalo.  I did drive my friend to the store.. but otherwise the only thing I did was sleep and read for most of the day.. and crocheted later on.

As for my Sunday plans.. only thing I was planning on was making a nice pasta salad.. with my garden veggies.  I put store bought broccoli, onions and mushrooms in it.. but everything else was from my garden!  Green peppers, zucchini, yellow squash and carrots!  Added two kinds of cheese for some extra flavor.  Mixed it with low fat peppercorn ranch salad dressing, Miracle Whip Light and some Italian Salad dressing.  That will be dinner along with breaded chicken breasts.  MMMMM..

I need to work on my website today.. got alot of pictures to add there.. and just tighten that up too.. that is my game plan..

I do have to get an order finished.. making dishclothes out of Simply Soft for an order. I have made these before and actually have a few up for sale on Etsy..

Friday was a busy day!!

Busy day.. had to mail an order and of course a prize for the winner on this blog (see previous post - http://cattalkbycatsmeow.blogspot.com/2012/07/contest.html).  Also had to hit the stores.. cos we have our grandboys visiting overnight Saturday to Sunday (smile)..

My freezer came today.. smile.. already putting veggies in it.. lol.. cos we picked alot today.. more zucchini and yellow squash.. also picked cucumbers.. Peppers almost ready to pick too.. wish my tomatoes would ripen.. ugh!

I got all my new dishclothes scanned and ready to put up for sale.. probably will do that tomorrow.. Going to watch the opening of the Summer Olympics.. and crochet of course! Starts in less than a half hour.. so see you then..

Am glad a new week is starting.. lol.. cos this is my day for relaxing.. I dont do sales on Sunday.. just catch up with emails.. and may invoices if necessary.. smile.. need the time off.. too.. in the next few days.. My boyfriend and I will be going to look for at the freezer, go to The Christmas Tree store for drapes, and AC Moore for yarn.. lol.. thankfully all in the same plaza..

Update on Gardening.. and still yet another pattern I found..

Just found a really cute pattern.. I have alot of leftover small amt of yarn (cottons) and some beads.. think these would  be nice scrunchies.. got the idea from this pattern.. http://nearmisc.theclaybox.com/?p=849 . Called a Cutie Fruity Toddler Bracelet or Hair Tie.

Yesterday was just too hot and humid for me.. worked in my garden fertilizing (yes, I use Miracle Grow.. only time I am organic is in the beginning... smile).. moved some pots around (got some catlitter boxes to put under some of the squash pots).. ate a quick dinner, took a nice cool shower.. and then just sat and crocheted in my room for the evening.. got a bunch of dishclothes done (need to take some pics tonight).. it just was too hot for my asthma..

Since it rained last night (finally).. it wasnt as bad today.. so I got a real good look at my plants this am.. my zucchini and yellow squash are coming up alot.. found flowers on my cucumbers and my pepper plants (both green and red).. and found some tomatoes on my cherry tomato plants.. YAY!!

Picked a salad for lunch.. romaine lettuce, some green beans, and a small zucchini I accidently broke off.. topped with cheese and some black olives.. smile.. nice lunch for me..

Good day.. got a second sale at my Etsy Store.. smile.. sold some dishclothes.. made up for the order that got cancelled.. she thought I was gonna sew the belly bands.. had to tell her I dont sew.. I may make some later.. but for now.. I guess I will move onto something else.. dont  know what yet.. gonna look thru patterns and decide.. smile.. more tomorrow.

It was a busy day for me today.. packed orders, took pictures of my completed items, sent invoices.. hard when today I just felt down and out..
