Really cold today..

Actually the coldest we have had yet this winter.. hence I am staying in today.. lol! I have alot to keep me busy at home with sales stuff and orders.. I am still working on the last of the dishclothes.. hopefully I have enough white to finish it off tonight.. If not, I will have to get out this week to pick up more Simply Soft White..

Then either way my next item is to finish off a mermaid cocoon I am making.. more on this tomorrow.. smile.. off to work on sales stuff on Facebook..

First Snowfall of the Year

Well.. we got our first snowfall.. not too bad.. pretty as a picture.. smile.. nice to just sit at home.. drink coffee and do some stuff around here.. We got just enough to make it pretty.. but not enough to make it horrible.. cant complain..

I am working on newborn teddy bear slippers, two pairs of them for an order.. I got them almost done.. have one more head to attach and do the eyes and noses.. and I will be done.. should have pictures by Friday.. then off to 2 pairs of cupcake slippers for toddlers.. Guess this year is a slipper year for me.. lol.

So what are your plans for Thanksgiving?? We are heading to my best friend's house for dinner.. we do that almost every year.. nice to spend time with friends for the holiday.. and she cooks a nice meal too.. grin.. anyways.. time to head off to get my computer work done.. then crochet..

Is It Hot Enough For YOU??

Well.. it is HOT here.. at least the humidity went down slightly.. very uncomfortable..and lousy on my asthma.. they keep promising us rain..lol.. but it hasnt come yet.. really hope it comes soon!!

Last night I finished off the body of the zebra slippers and started the heads of the zebras to attach.. probably wont get a chance to add pictures until around Sunday.. cos I have alot to do tomorrow..

Listia - New Towel Set and Update by Me..

I put a number of towels up on Listia to clear them out.. and they did very well there..  Here is a picture of the latest set.. this one is white.. with a white topper, edged in black with a black button.. as she requested..

This was a quick picture as I wanted to get it out in the mail today.. but it is clear enough for everyone to see..

We have been having a real heat wave here.. maybe for the Southerns, this doesnt sound bad.. but we are not quite used to this weather.. our temperatures have been in the high 80's to low 92's with humidity over 75% (most days it has been in the 90's).. this makes it very uncomfortable for me with Asthma and Fibro.. sigh.. and worse.. my hearing is lousy cos my hearing aid cant handle the humidity.. I feel like I am listening to Rice Krispies.. sigh.. so much crackling and popping... I just take it off.. lol.

Can't Believe It Is Saturday Already..

Well.. it is Saturday.. smile.. still working on sales stuff.. lol. and still trying to find time to get some crochet in.. went shopping yesterday.. and by the time I got home.. ate dinner.. did wash.. hung it.. it was too late to start a project.. but I did get my yarn ready.. and put away the other yarn I was using for the dishclothes.. smile.. I think tonight I might start with the animal slippers instead.. got the yarn ready for a duckie.. and a frog.. smile.. we will see if I get to it toight..

This morning, I spend the morning working on still yet more laundry.  Got a load on the outside line drying..  do any of you hang your clothes outside.. I just love the smell of laundry hanging outside.. I generally only use my dryer just to do a final dry and delint the clothing.. I also worked in my garden.. and had to reprop up my tomatoes.. they well all hanging over.. got done with that.. and had to pick up a bunch of tomatoes that I knocked off the vines.. guess we will be eating fried green tomatoes again soon.. grin.. I also got alot of green beans and green peppers.. so it looks like later I will be cutting up some veggies for the freezer..

It is definitely cooler.. barely hitting 70 here. I am very happy about that.  I dont like the heat. Well I do need to get on to my emails and sales stuff for today.. so I guess that is all for now.. smile.. Have a nice day!!

Sunday Update!

Much cooler today.. with rain.. seems everyone else in this area is getting a bad storm.. but not us on the west side of Buffalo.. I am just enjoying the much cooler weather.  It was so hot yesterday I just had NO energy.. and felt lousy.. we just are not used to 94 or 95 degrees here in Buffalo.  I did drive my friend to the store.. but otherwise the only thing I did was sleep and read for most of the day.. and crocheted later on.

As for my Sunday plans.. only thing I was planning on was making a nice pasta salad.. with my garden veggies.  I put store bought broccoli, onions and mushrooms in it.. but everything else was from my garden!  Green peppers, zucchini, yellow squash and carrots!  Added two kinds of cheese for some extra flavor.  Mixed it with low fat peppercorn ranch salad dressing, Miracle Whip Light and some Italian Salad dressing.  That will be dinner along with breaded chicken breasts.  MMMMM..

I need to work on my website today.. got alot of pictures to add there.. and just tighten that up too.. that is my game plan..

I do have to get an order finished.. making dishclothes out of Simply Soft for an order. I have made these before and actually have a few up for sale on Etsy..

I will have more pictures soon..

Good afternoon.. another sunny day in Buffalo.. it is 81 degrees right now.. cant complain about the weather today.. hot.. but not too hot.. my garden is growing strong.. smile.. I cant figure out why it is doing so well this year, compared to last year.. it is cos I am using fertilizer in my water every other day? Because the temperature has been much warmer than usual? Less pests? Because it has been drier? Dont know.. but I am NOT complaining.. anyways.. I just wanted to tell you about this really neat site that I get in my inbox... gives me all kinds of facts about gardening, recipes, and just nice reading..
