Merry Christmas!!

This has been a weird Christmas for me.. My plans for Christmas was suppose to visit my daughter for Christmas Eve and my son and Fiancée for Christmas Day.. well.. Buffalo and the suburbs got hit by a Blizzard.. One that I havent been thru since the 1970s..  So Christmas will have to wait until next week.. when we can dig out from here.  The picture here is what things looked like this afternoon.. we got another round of snow coming thru tonight.. 

I got prepared.. I got my meds, food, snacks, ice cream and Truly.. lol. Anyone who knows me knows home much I like ice cream.. I got enough for this weekend.. and into next week.

In the meantime.. I have been slowly cleaning thru paperwork.. and scanning items, and doing my games and receipts.. so am not bored.. Hope everyone has a nice Christmas.. and I will be back making and selling things in January.

Well I sold out

All my Christmas Towels are gone.. all sold or given as Xmas gifts.. Will be working on Valentine's Day and Easter after Christmas.. Hopefully I have more towels to top.. if not, I will be visiting The Christmas Tree Store..

Update on the Stacked Pumpkin order

I have been rather busy lately.. so actually had these done days ago.. just finally had a moment to update everyone.. in between Dr appts, selling my house, getting ready for Christmas, getting ready for eye surgery, and working on orders, it seems like I never get caught up..

My Newest Crochet Order

I was asked to make the one in the front.. minus the shells (they are gonna do that).. took me a bit as she wanted it in cotton so I had to figure out the hook to use.. ended up frogging it (tearing it apart) 3 times until I got the right size.. I will take photos as I do it.. and put them up.. I got the first pumpkin rectangle done.. pictures tomorrow..

I didnt do much reading in Oct.. actually barely any.. by the time I went to bed I was just too tired to read.. I didnt finish a book all month.. wow.. that really surprised me.. guess I wont be able to make what I said I was gonna read this year on Goodreads.. anyone else out there on Goodreads?

Newest Coffee Mug Cozie

I wanted to make one for my daughter, but she didnt want a fun fur edge one so I used Simply Soft red glitter yarn for an edging.. think it came quite nice.. am thinking of making similar ones for sale using batches of cuttings from fabric to make these.. wonder what you all think? Coffee Mug Cozie

I was asked to make a coffee mug cozie.. one that uses the Bills logo.. I luckily still had Bills fabric so it really didnt take much time at all to make one.. what do you think.. do you like how it came out?

This is the front side.. (outward side)

This is the side the drinker sees.. 

And it is closed off with a button to hold it on.. the fabric is quite stretchy so it will fit most cups.. 

This will help keep your hot drinks hot.. am thinking of making a couple of different types of these to sell.. with different designs.. 

Bored I am not..

I have been working on going thru my stuff to decide if I really want to keep it.. sell it, put up on TraderKat or Listia.. or just give it away.. my daughter got me this for my yarn.. cant believe already how useful this is.. I can see at a glance what I have.. what I need (believe it or not, I do need some).. and what I want to get rid of.. 

I will be getting more of these.. for sure.. I can see more places it will be helpful.. esp with my baby and sport weight yarn that I currently have in non clear tubs making it hard to see what I have.. so excited she got me these..

From their page.. We had such a wonderful response to our request for gently used purse donations!! We are very grateful. There was such a wide variety of them and quite a few brand new ones with tags on and some very fancy ones as well. So we decided to have 3 tiers - a table where we charge $10, a table for $20 and a table for $30. (There will be multiple tables of each.) The $20 and $30 tables will contain some items with surprise gift cards and all purchases will enter you into the raffle to win the $500!!! That is a 1 in 300 chance to win $500. Even the lottery doesn't do that!!!

I am hoping to be there.. if I can get a ride.. fingers crossed..

I do love Macomber.. I got the first book somewhere lost in my books.. lol.. I eventually will find it.. 

Naked in Death (In Death #1) by J.D. Robb

I started reading these out of order so now I am trying to read them in order.. or some kind of order.. I really like this series.. combination of futuristic, romance and detective

This book took me by surprised.. I started reading it just to read it and get done.. and found out it was an incredibly great book.. I couldnt put it down until I finished it.. was up quite late on this one.. I also have this up for sale on eBay.

This was another great book.. only took me two days to finish it.. because the book was so worn.. I decided to put it up on TraderKat

My cats like it here too..

I have two cats.. both are orange and white.. my oldest one is Link.. he can just about handle anything.. but my "baby" (both cats are actually seniors) hates change.. new people.. and moving him was an interesting experience.. the first photo is of Link.. He loves the windows.. just being so fat.. he has problems getting up here.. lol.. 

This is Julius.. the first month or so, he just spent most of his time hiding.. esp when he heard anyone outside in the hall or outside the windows.. but now he is doing much better.. he is out all the time.. likes to be in the window too.. 

They both sleep with me every night.. one on one side.. the other on the other side.. 

I cant believe it has been a whole month..

 I will tell you.. moving is for the birds.. I hate moving.. I plan to stay here until I die.. lol.. anyways.. I spend most of September, by finished moving.. and trying to find places for everything.. going from a house to a senior apartment is rather interesting.. but I love my new place..

I already made changes.. since my original photos.. but I will put what I have so far.. This is from my windows.. it is like looking at my own personal garden with none of the work.. lol.. 

The kitchen is smaller than my old place.. but has more cupboards.. and also just outside the kitchen is 2 large cabinets.. one with shelves.. and one that is both a coatrack and a storage area for my cleaning supplies. In all.. I am quite happy with it..

Books I read in August

 I am back to reading alot again.. I try to read every night.. at least for an hour per night.. 

First book I read was V.. by A.C. Crispin.. I saw the TV series many years ago.. and found the book, so read that.. I still have more of the series. hopefully will be finding them too.. this book is up on TraderKat if you are interested in getting it.. 

Then I took out an old favorite of mine, Danielle Steel. Special Delivery
by Danielle Steel I read that and also put it up on TraderKat.. already gone to its new home.

Then I found a book that someone here was giving away.. so took to read. The Reckoning by John Grisham.  Story was quite interesting.. though it was weird how the author broke it down.. The book was in rough shape.. so not sure if I will offer it up on TraderKat or Listia.. 

I ended the month, finishing this book literally as August ended.. I realized after I started it.. I read the books out of order.. I have the first book too.. if I can find where I put it... it is also not up.. she is one of my favorite authors..
