I often use the funds I make on my sales as donations to small groups.. Every year this group has a fundraiser using a quilt raffle.. I just donate and if I win.. they give my quilt to some senior.. 

Dear Family & Friends, We are excited to announce our 4th annual quilt raffle. Here is an opportunity to win this beautiful throw quilt while supporting Prayers With Every Note. Every dollar donated goes to sending cards to seniors in nursing homes and shut-ins. So many times, these precious seniors are forgotten. Our mission is uplifting seniors one note at a time. As most of you know, Prayers With Every Note sends notes and cards to senior citizens all over the United States. We are hoping to send to many more! Currently, we’re trying to raise money to help with postage and supplies. This year, we are raffling off another beautiful throw quilt donated by Joan Thornbury. It is named Streaks of Light. Raffle tickets are $1.00 each. For each dollar donation, you will be entered into the drawing for this quilt! The drawing will be August 15th. You do not have to be present to win. If you are not interested in winning the quilt and just want to donate. We will put ,"Donate" on the ticket and if drawn we will give it to a senior in a nursing home or shut in. From their page.. We had such a wonderful response to our request for gently used purse donations!! We are very grateful. There was such a wide variety of them and quite a few brand new ones with tags on and some very fancy ones as well. So we decided to have 3 tiers - a table where we charge $10, a table for $20 and a table for $30. (There will be multiple tables of each.) The $20 and $30 tables will contain some items with surprise gift cards and all purchases will enter you into the raffle to win the $500!!! That is a 1 in 300 chance to win $500. Even the lottery doesn't do that!!!

I am hoping to be there.. if I can get a ride.. fingers crossed.. 

Donation for Fundraiser

I have made a couple of kitchen towel and dishcloth sets for a fundraiser for a friend of mine's friend.. she needs surgery on her heart.. and I felt I should help even if a little.. This is what I made..

Each set has a "matching" dishcloth.. tried to get as close as possible.. the pink set has a KrissKross dishcloth.  The yellow set has a Shell dishcloth..
