Michelle's Crazy Update

Our car completely broke down.. sigh.. not a good time for it (not that is ever a good time). We paid to see if it was fixable.. but not worth it.. thanks to a neighbor.. we managed to at least get it running to get around locally.. it overheats if we drive it more than 5 or 6 blocks.. sigh.. So that limited me to depend on rides for anything I needed, which I did get some.. thankfully.. so now we are looking for a different car.. more time consuming stuff that I really dont have time for.. with all the orders I have gotten lately.. hence why you all havent gotten an update.. plus now I am also trying to get my garden planted.. lol.. I got the tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, and lettuce in.. still have cucumbers, yellow squash and zucchini and green beans to do.. hope to get the cucumbers in tonight.. needed to get thru my emails on Google and get myself updated on the computer.. as well as get my orders organized.. I am hoping that I can get all this done thru the weekend.. expect updates by Sunday.. if not before..

Dishcloth and Scrubby Links

I had said in my last blog entry that I would add the links for the patterns for my last two items I made..  I made both of my items using Simply Soft.. love the cottony feel of this yarn and it is much better than cotton as it dries faster and doesnt fade..

New Dishcloth and Scrubbie Set Order

Here is a new set I made for an order..I previously made these and have links on my Etsy store for these.. Just adding this fast.. I really am busy today.. and will be really busy for the next couple of days.. Will update links and everything after this.. Promise.. 

Dishcloth Update

Well.. sorry I havent been here.. doing alot right now.. with crochet, gardening, and just all the chaos that seems to hit this house.. I have finished some of the dishcloth order.. just finished more of the shells.. this time 5 of white with navy edging.. You can see the link to the pattern on the previous entry.. 

The sad part about it is.. I had ordered online Dark Country Blue since Simply Soft didnt come in Navy.. come to find out that Hobby Lobby had a comparable yarn in Navy.. sigh.. so I may need to remake the first bunch.. just gonna go on forward from now..

I started the next design for here.. this one is a basketweave pattern also in dark country blue and white. This one was a practice one.. a bit smaller than I wanted for the order.. so I will put this one up for sale.. $1.75.. if anyone wants it.. going on Etsy in a day or so.. I also got an order for another type of dishcloth and scrubbie on Etsy.. so my next entry will be pictures of that.. Already half finished with the dishcloth.. so should finish them both in a day or so..

Crochet and Gardening Update

First the gardening.. well.. I got my seeds planted.. except for the zucchini seeds which just arrived yesterday.. plan on doing those tomorrow... so far I have one yellow squash up.. nothing else.. next week I hope to go and get my tomatoes and any other plant that hasnt came up by then.. not rushing cos it is still below 55 degrees at night.. not weather for most of these plants.. I hope to have some pictures then too..

Now my crocheting.. I have been working on hanging towels for sale ( no pics yet) and these dishclothes.. these are the first of the 50.. I plan on making 10 of these.. 5 in navy with white and 5 in white with navy.. then switch to a different design.. I love this lacy shell.. very pretty... and not hard to do.. you can see I havent finished off the loose threads yet.. figure I will do them all at once..

New Towels Updated..

I was busy all weekend.. even though it is Memorial Day today.. This will be my day of rest(?).. Saturday my son, his girlfriend, and my 2 grandboys took me out for a belated Mother's Day lunch.. we went to a riverside cafe called Old Man River, which is one of our favorite places to visit over the summer.. I got a humongous hamburger with swiss cheese and mushrooms.. and of course their sweet potato fries (which is the major reason I like to go).. then after we were done.. we went to my best friend's house where my honey was helping her do the yard stuff.. and stayed there until evening.. the next day we went back again to finish up.. and have a barbecue.. So today I am just gonna rest (well.. except for my usual stuff -- laundry, dinner in the slow cooker, made pasta salad). Just relaxing now as dinner cooks..

I did get a bunch of hanging towels done.. some for an order.. Now finished with that major order for hanging towels! And also did some to put up for sale.. you can see the summer fruits one below ..  I am finishing one more set of hanging towels for sale.. then switching to dishclothes for a different order.. pictures and links next time..

Gardening update!

Busy day here.. replanted more flower seeds.. the first batch really didnt come up.. we will see with them..

On the past planting: Some of my yellow squash seeds are now coming up.. nothing in the bush bean department.. lettuces going good..

Today's Planting: I planted Chinese Large green pepper, regular green, red, and yellow pepper seeds. I also planted more yellow squash, cucumber, pole green beans, and acorn squash seeds.. along with another container of lettuce (this blend also has romaine in this batch).. Hope all these come up.. most of the seeds came from winnings on Listia. so we will see..
