Knit Look Slippers

I have started my first pair (have at least 5 to do in a row!).. thought you would like to see how they are coming out.. I like this color combo.. nice and colorful.. and it does look knitted.. this is a scan.. not a picture taken by a camera.

You can see the pattern here.. It is by Bonita Patterns.. they have alot of cute slipper patterns..

I will update you again on Friday.. I am sure by that time.. I will either be done with the first pair or almost done..

Poinsettia Towels Are Done!!

These are for an order.. just finished them last night.. I topped them with antique white and gold christmas yarn, edged it in red (with a red glitter) to match the poinsettia.. and added a poinsettia button.. I thought they came nice!! I still can make two more for custom orders.. if anyone is interested.. now working on a pair of knit look slippers.. got the sole finished.. and am working on the sole of the second pair.. I hope to have pictures on Wednesday..

Flamingo and Hanging Towels are done!!

Took a while as I had trouble with counting stitches and following the pattern while sick.. finally got done with and took the pictures.. smile.. what you think?  It is about 6 1/2 inches sitting and 10 3/4 inches full length.. Pictures include closeup of the head.. with the wiggly eyes..

I also finished off a set of towels for an order.. thought the colors together were cute.. this finishes off two more orders.. now I am working on an order for poinsettia hanging towels and a pair of those knit type slippers.. both are orders.. smile.. getting there..

Finally got here..

I been trying to do too much.. esp with this sinus headache I have had.. I really suspect I have an infection.. so heading to the Dr. on Monday. ugh.. I hate going to the Dr's.. dont you??

Anyways.. I got done with 2 sets of Thanksgiving Hanging Towels.. one for an order and one to put up for sale on Etsy.. I am still working on the Flamingo.. it is hard working on this with a nasty headache.. so I am moving slow.. got the body and head done.. I will take pictures of this over the week.. probably on Tuesday.. hope to have them done then..

Anyways.. the towels are similar.. but not the same.. the first is a hanging towel with a turkey saying Gobble, Gobble.. I found these cute towels.. and had to top them... I topped it in off white worsted weight yarn matching the off white in the towel.. and edged it in a cranberry brown color.. matching the word "Gobble".. the button matches that also.. plastic with a wood tone look to it.. I MIGHT be able to get more.. am not sure.

This one was for an order.. and made in her choice of colors.. I matched the cranberry to the turkey.. and the brown to the turkey.. and topped with a cream color button..

Busy day yesterday.. New hanging towel listed.

Well.. it is Sunday again.. my day for clearing out the week of computer stuff.. I need a day a week to do this.. as I get too busy with other things..  Advertising takes up as much time as crocheting.. didnt you kinow that.. smile..

Didnt have alot of time to crochet.. but did finish a set of Thanksgiving Towels.. I try to make an item every other day to put up for sale both on my pages and in my store.. got to do this to keep people interested.. I will find time today to work on the flamingo head.. anyways.. here are the two towels I did.. I love these.. came out great.. I topped it with a complimentary gold to go with the pattern, and edged in in fall variegated yarn.. then found these really nice brown buttons.. I know you cant see in the photo.. but these have a wood look to them.. not solid.. and they are plastic.. I have two available.. and can make two more (just dont have the same buttons)..

Another project finished.. and update on the flamingo

I had an order via Listia for an infant headband in Christmas colors so I got that done yesterday to take a quick break from the Flamingo.  Here is how it came out.. this is a Shell Wheel Headband that I got online by Teresa Richardson. I used some Christmas variegated yarn that has some silver strands in it.. pretty for a newborn infant.

Now on the flamingo.. I got the body done and stuffed and now am working on the head.  It is a time consuming project, but at the same time easy to do.. I suspect it will take me into next week with breaks in between to work on small projects to get them out the way.. I hope to have some pictures by tomorrow.. 

Projects Completed!!

Happy to say I am on a roll with my crochet orders.. I finished the adult cupcake slippers (see previous blog entry for pictures).  This will be going up for sale first on my yahoo group.. then Facebook.. I cant take orders for this now.. but if you are willing to wait.. I can put you on the list. I got a ton of orders to fill.. Tomorrow I will update you on what I am doing now..

I also finished off an order for dishclothes from Etsy.. Pictures are below.. people really like these.. I have gotten orders for these before.. and they must like them. cos they come back for more.. smile..

These are made of Simply Soft yarn.. which has the texture of cotton.. but none of the bad parts of it.. these dry fast, don't shrink or fade and last just as long as the cotton ones.. best part they cost less.. These make a nice gift to give someone along with hanging towels and/or my scrubbies.
