I am sooo behind.. catching up now..

First... for the last couple of months or so I have been working on an afghan for a bridal shower.. I sorta lost my head and made a bedsize one.. lol.. anyways. here is pictures of it.. along with her opening it.. Hope you liked it Meg.. I also made her a potholder for the recipe card we were suppose to include.. 

Her shower was nice.. the weather was great for an outdoor shower.. I ate too much.. lol. great food.. all homemade!!

I have been busy working on orders..

I got a bunch of orders.. plus need to top the holiday towels.. I just finished this potholder set for an order.. I now am bouncing between making a hat and doing St Patty Hanging Towels.. Pictures coming soon..

I got an order for wreath hotpads.. and am working on these too.. These would also make nice potholders.. I took a pattern for a coaster and made changes and just made it larger.. double layer.. made of Antique green/gold glitter yarn with red glitter thread for the bow.. picture isnt the best.. I need to add another one later..

Some projects finished..

I finished the potholders for an order.. and added buttons to the towels I topped.. I only got the picture of the potholders.. took it quick on my scanner.. didn't come too good.. what is suppose to be bright red is light.. and what is suppose to be bright orange.. is pink.. sigh.. will have to take better pictures later..

This potholder is a double layer one.. solid crochet on the bottom and a GS topper with a sc edge and a large loop.. I made them 9 1/2 inches square.. big enough for even to use as a hotpad for the table..

Now I will be starting a white baby sweater set.. hopefully tonight..

I am currently working on a potholder and hanging towel sets.. and wanted to show you the potholder.. I think they came out adorable.. these are for only decoration.. as they are open in the back and have plastic wiggly eyes... but I can make these to be used in your kitchen with a solid back and plain eyes..

As soon as I finish the towels I will put them up too.. waiting on delivery of the eyes..

Basketweave Potholders

Sorry I havent been here in a while.. have to take alot of breaks from the computer now.. as I have a pinched nerve in my left side of my back.. so that limits me sitting in chairs long.. sigh..

I just finished an order of Basketweave potholders.. this uses the same pattern I got for the basketweave dishclothes and then I added a solid back to it.. and edged it in two rows of single crochet.

I now am working on some short orders that I got via Listia.. a baby headband, a catnip heart cat toy, and a lavender sachet.. pictures on those soon.. 

Crochet and Life Update

I have been bouncing between that last cupcake potholder (until I got tired) and then switched to a hanging towel.. (that I got on Listia).. should finish the towel tonight.. and probably finish the potholder tonight also.. then taking a break to crochet a set of hanging towels to put on Ebay and Etsy.. then back to my orders.. this time another set of Rainbow Slippers.. this time in dark blue.. smile..

Dont know if I will get here tomorrow.. as I have alot of stuff to do.. picking and freezing veggies, down to take care of the cable (almost impossible to get them on the phone.. ugh!!), mailing orders, some more wash (gonna be hot.. so that is good), cleaning and doing some organizing.. Either way I will have pictures of the hanging towels for sale by Friday.

First Cupcake Potholder Finished!!

I had a really busy weekend this weekend.. alot of cleaning, gardening, freezing veggies, etc.. so really didnt have much time to get here this weekend. I finished the first Cupcake potholder.. and now am working on the second one.. just about half done..

I have to say this is really cute.. Love the textured part of the top of the cupcake.. smile.. I think this will be one of the patterns I will be making items regularly for sale..

Cupcake Hanging Towels and Cupcake Potholders

I am currently working on a cupcake order.. no.. not a food one.. but a order of cupcake towels and potholders.  Did the edging in layers using Simply Soft pink and Purple Herrschners Whisper Soft purple (same one I used in the potholders).  I finished the towels and now am working on the potholders.. got most of the first one done.. pictures are here..

The Pattern for the Potholders can be found HERE!! I just love the bobble stitch.. and love how it gives texture to the cupcake.. gonna back it with the variegated back.. matching the bow (not finished).. hope to show you the completed ones on Sunday.. wont be here on Saturday as my best friend is taking me to lunch at The Red Lobster and we are also going to The Christmas Tree store for towels.. smile..

Just finished these potholders for an order.. these were made with Simply Soft yarn.. I really like this yarn for kitchenware.. softer than cotton, less expensive than cotton, dries alot faster than cotton.. I started making alot of my items with this instead of cotton..

These potholders were taken from this design... for a dishcloth.. smile.. alot of my items can be made for sets.. I just took this pattern and made a solid back.. edged it.. and there was a potholder.. smile..
