Just finished this scarf..

Made it from Vanna's Choice yarn.. and I used the pattern on Lion Brand website called Two Tone Mobius Cowl.. didnt use the yarn suggested.. used a thinner one.. and a I hook.. and just made it wider.. came out great..

Just finished reading An Echo In The Bone..

A writeup of the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon... This book is book 7 of the series..

This series is one of the best I have ever read.. and am reading. only problem is the books are soooo big.. lol.. so it is taking me a long time to finish one. I have been getting the series from the Library.. unfortunately they dont have book 7.5.. so I guess I am forced to go and buy it.. will be on my list of items to buy next month.. They do have book 8.. Written in My Own Heart's Blood, so I wont have to buy that one..

Such A Sad Day.. Remembering 9/11

If you are like everyone in the US today.. you are remembering where you were when the planes crashed into the towers.. Back then, I worked in a Vet Hospital as a LVT.. and it was a typical day of getting ready for appointments and surgery.. our surgeries showed up.. but after that.. no one showed up for appointments.. no one called to cancel either.. we all were rather confused.. until we got the message of what what happened.  One of the other Vets came in with a small TV and we watched in horror just like everyone else.. needless to say we cancelled the rest of the appointments and the next day.. I remember sitting there watching and watching that same horrible moment over and over.. eventually you just had to stop watching as it just was too horrible to watch..

Today on the news they were discussing the children who died in 9/11.. one of them.. a small two year old girl, who's name was Christine Hanson of MA.. she was the youngest to die there.. on a plane (Flight 175).. It brings back the horror again.. as that is really close to my daughter's name.. R.I.P. Christine and the rest of the people who died there..

Just a quickie.. Happy Labor Day!

I probably should have did some sales work.. but it is so hot here.. Certainly doesn't feel like September!!  My boyfriend and I did barbecue.. ribs.. and made some homemade macaroni salad (with low fat ranch salad dressing and light Miracle Whip).. I also cut up some fresh cukes and tomatoes.. then we went out and hit all the thrift stores.. 50% off today.. cant pass that up.. got a new keyboard, a shark hand vacuum... and best of all.. a ton of books.. (I know I dont need more books.. but these were books on my to read list.. cant go wrong..

so now I am working on some stuff here.. packing orders and clearing out emails.. I know I will have a ton of work to do tomorrow.. and Wed.. See you then..
